Free Fare for Youth
Get around Boulder and the Metro Denver area for free! Boulder’s local HOP bus and all local and regional RTD services will run free fare for youth ages 19 and under.
Have Recreation Fun Off-Campus
Get your recreation on by exploring the fun off-campus. Golf at Flatirons Golf Course, play disc golf and bike on a 42-acre terrain park at Valmont Park, and swim or paddle at Boulder Reservoir. Check out the Fall 2024 Recreation Guide and city recreation information.
For our younger community members, there are also “day off” camps for when school is not in session. These day camps include games, arts and crafts, swimming, and lots of fun activities for youth!

Family Resource Schools
The Family Resource Schools Program (FRS) is dedicated to supporting families through a broad array of services. FRS promotes family self-sufficiency, removes barriers to academic achievement, builds on family strengths, improves academic opportunities at school and advocates for families.

Whether you’ve lived in Boulder your whole life or are new to town, we welcome students as part of our community! Find ways to participate in local government, volunteer or apply for jobs, and sign up to stay in the loop about local news. A great way to get started is to attend What’s Up Boulder, a community event on Saturday, Sept. 7, to learn about city resources and help shape the place you live!
