Most city facilities and services that are currently operating in a limited capacity due to COVID-19 will also be closed on Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 6, with the following exceptions:
- Boulder Reservoir – Open Labor Day from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and the swim area will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Starting Tuesday, Sept. 7, open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Oct. 17.
- Flatirons Golf Course – Open Labor Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Scott Carpenter Pool - Lap and certain leisure pool areas open Labor Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Starting Tuesday, Sept. 7, the lap pool will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and leisure pool areas will be closed.
- North Boulder Recreation Center – Open Labor Day 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Starting Tuesday, Sept. 7, open weekdays, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- East Boulder Community Center – Closed for annual maintenance through Labor Day. Scheduled to open Tuesday, Sept. 7 and be open weekdays, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- South Boulder Recreation Center – The recreation center will be closed Labor Day, and will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 7 and open every weekday, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- The Planning and Development Services - Online services center will be closed for Labor Day. The department will resume virtual services on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

Parking is free in city garages, parking lots and at on-street pay stations on Labor Day.
Paid parking will remain in effect in and around Chautauqua Park on Labor Day and use of the free Park-to-Park shuttle is encouraged. This Labor Day weekend is the end of the 2021 season of the Park-to-Park shuttle service and the paid parking on summer weekends and holidays in and around Chautauqua Park.
