As of Sept. 3, the City of Boulder is no longer under the fire restrictions enacted by the emergency rule that started on August 1. The City of Boulder has year-round fire restrictions which are always enacted; you can find these permanent restrictions on the city’s website.
The emergency rule imposed tighter restrictions on fire causing behavior within the community and complemented the city’s existing restrictions during a time when fire risk was especially high.
Even with the lifting of the emergency rule, the community is always encouraged to recreate responsibly and make safe decisions about fire. Visit the city’s wildfire restrictions webpage for more information about the city’s permanent restrictions.
The City of Boulder greatly appreciates everyone’s help to diligently avoid fire-starting behavior.
