Boulder community members may notice smoke in northeast Boulder today as the result of a prescribed burn conducted by Boulder Fire-Rescue in collaboration with Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
This will be the second prescribed burn of this week.
The burn will take place on open space to the east of IBM and Diagonal, off of 71st Street. Burn ignition will begin after 10 a.m. and will end prior to 3 p.m. Community members may continue to see smoke past 3 p.m. as the fire crews work on extinguishing the prescribed burn. Please do not call 911 to report these burns as they are not emergencies.
