The City of Boulder Finance Department is seeking community members to assist with the Community, Culture, Resilience and Safety Tax Grant Program Capital Project Funding Application Review Process ("Application Review Process").

Applications are no longer being accepted

The application process has closed to further submissions.

The Community, Culture, Resilience and Safety (CCRS) Tax Grant Program is funded through the Community, Culture, Resilience and Safety Tax, a .03% dedicated sales and use tax intended for citywide capital infrastructure needs. The tax, previously known as the Community, Culture and Safety Tax, was initially authorized by voters in 2014, and was extended in 2017. The tax was extended again under its current name in 2021, with the extension set to expire in 2036. Up to 10% of the tax revenue, or $21.75 million over 15 years, is set aside to ensure sustainability for non-profit organizations serving city community members.

CCRS Tax Grant Program Capital Project Funding ("Capital Project Funding") is intended to directly support non-profit organizations in completing needed capital projects.

Community members participating in the Application Review Process will review CCRS Tax Grant Program Capital Project Funding applications and work with city staff to make recommendations for Capital Project Funding grant awards. The role of the participants is advisory and technical, not political in nature, and participants do not serve in an advocacy role for either organizations or issues.

The Application Review Process will take place between late October and the end of November. Participants can expect to spend a minimum of 8 hours reviewing applications through an online platform, and 2-3 hours meeting with other participants at an in-person meeting, with details to be provided once participants are selected.

City staff will follow up after the application is received. If assistance completing the application is required or there is a need for translation of the application materials, contact Annie Scott at scotta@bouldercolorado.gov.
