BOULDER, Colo. – The Boulder Police Department is looking for more information about a possible attempted kidnapping that may have occurred on Monday.
An 11-year-old child said she was walking to school around 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, when an unknown man started following her on a bicycle. As she walked on 26th Street between Meadow and Norwood avenues, the man grabbed her shoulder. The child then grabbed a tree branch and hit the man, which caused him to let go. The child then ran to school.
The child later told her mother about what happened, and she called police yesterday, Oct. 30.
The suspect is described as a man wearing all black with a mask and circular sunglasses with colored lenses. He may have been speaking Spanish.
Anyone with any information about this man’s identity or this crime is asked to contact Detective Taylor Hickam at HickamT@bouldercolorado.gov or 303-441-1936 regarding case 24-11453.
Anyone with possible video or photo evidence is asked to upload it here: https://bouldercopd.evidence.com/axon/community-request/public/2411453
