Holiday Closures
In observance of the winter holidays, the City of Boulder is adjusting its operations schedules.

Due to the ongoing lifeguard shortage, the department will adjust operating hours at the North Boulder Recreation Center (NBRC) and East Boulder Community Center (EBCC) pools.
“Our team supported a lot of safe swimming this summer. As students, including many of our lifeguards, return to school and amidst the ongoing labor shortage, we are adjusting pool schedules,” said Parks and Recreation Director Ali Rhodes. “We are adjusting hours of historic low visitation and will continue to work hard to recruit and train more professional rescuers to operate the community’s pools.”

Our team is working hard to recruit and train additional professional lifeguards. We will continue to monitor staffing levels and visitation.
