The City of Boulder is committed to engaging with the community on critical issues related to energy and climate.

The city will be hosting two informative events: Climate Initiatives Office Hours and Climate Initiatives Community Conversation, to foster open dialogue and provide community members with the opportunity to learn more about ongoing climate work and its impacts.

“These events serve as platforms for the city to actively involve the community in our programs and initiatives, and to ensure community voices are heard,” said Director of Climate Initiatives Jonathan Koehn. “By participating in these discussions, community members contribute to the city's ongoing efforts to address climate issues and create a more sustainable future.”

Climate Initiatives Office Hours
Community members are invited to drop in for Climate Initiatives Energy Hours. The first session will focus on energy issues, including electrification, emissions reduction, and Xcel's electric resource plan. This informal setting encourages open conversation, allowing community members to bring their questions, topics and ideas directly to city staff. The city is planning future sessions to invite conversation on other climate topics, including nature-based climate solutions and circular economy.
