Oct. 8 Performance to Bridge Climate, Arts
The City of Boulder and the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra (Boulder Phil) are teaming up to inspire climate action through art. Boulder Phil’s opening night will feature pieces that explore the consequences of unchecked exploitation of our planet. The performance will take place at 7 p.m. on Oct. 8 at the University of Colorado Boulder’s Macky Auditorium. Tickets are available online.
Ahead of the performance, Boulder Phil’s Musical Director Michael Butterman, Climate Initiatives Director Jonathan Koehn and composer Drew Hemenger spoke to provide a preview of the show. Watch the discussion, which touches on the composer’s creative process, the urgency of climate action and the power of art and music to bring people together.
