The City of Boulder has released the Boulder Airport’s Story: a new, interactive website with general information about the Boulder Municipal Airport. As work continues toward envisioning a future for the airport site, the city invites community members to view the Boulder Airport’s Story to learn about what the airport is and does, how it operates, how it came to be, and what aspirations the community has shared for its future.
“We recognize the airport is a topic of interest in Boulder and appreciate the many different opinions, hopes, questions and concerns our community has shared about its future,” said Boulder City Manager Nuria Rivera-Vandermyde. “We’re pleased to offer this informative resource to help answer the questions we receive daily and welcome those new to the conversation.”
The airport is a topic of interest due to the ongoing Airport Community Conversation and community-led ballot petitions about the airport site. The Community Conversation project, a community engagement process, aims to understand the Boulder community’s aspirational vision for the airport site’s future. The project’s next step will provide an additional financial analysis to City Council on July 25.
Boulder Municipal Airport is a general aviation airport, providing business, private and recreational aviation services to the city and surrounding communities. Learn more on the Boulder Airport’s Story and Airport Frequently Asked Questions, or through Ask the Airport.
