We are deeply saddened today as we have lost a member of the Boulder Parks and Recreation team.
Our team was notified this morning that on Wednesday, August 3, one of our teammates passed away. This employee, a slide attendant at Scott Carpenter Pool, quickly became a much-appreciated member of our team and we will miss them.
While we are not the appropriate agency to share circumstances about their death, we are sharing this news as the slides at Scott Carpenter, and potentially other amenities, will be closed on Friday, August 5 to support BPR employees impacted by their death. Additional operational impacts may be possible in the coming days as we work to support our employees during this difficult time.
We appreciate your understanding as we provide support to our employees and the employee’s family. Thank you.
